About us

We are a local walking group of the Ramblers. Although based in the Cynon Valley, our group members are also drawn from many of the towns and villages of the surrounding valleys. Our location, on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, allows us easy access to fantastic walking opportunities. While the Black Mountains, the Usk and Wye Valleys and the Gower are all within easy travelling distance.

We produce both a winter and summer weekend walking programme offering a variety of distances and grades to suit all tastes. In the summer months we also produce a series of short evening walks. In addition to our walks programmes we arrange social events, weekends away and holidays abroad.

Above all else, we pride ourselves as being a 'social walking group' who enjoy walking in our fantastic countryside.

Why not try us, you might like it, we offer a warm welcome to everyone. Join us on a walk or two to appreciate what a friendly group we are. If you decide to join us on a regular basis then you are requested to join the Ramblers Association.
